Everything about 35mm slide and negative digital scanners

Nikon 2000 Slide Scanner

Nikon 2000 Slide Scanner. Affordability is what most people look for today especially in electronic products including film and negative scanners. Fortunately, prices have gone down and have become very competitive.
Take the case of the Nikon LS-2000 Super CoolScan film and slide scanner. At a very affordable price, this product works efficiently. Not surprising especially with a trusted brand such as Nikon. Experienced photo enthusiasts will love this dedicated film scanner as it makes scanning images much faster than ever.

This particular scanner features the Digital ICE technology that helps in getting rid of dust, smudges and scratches. The images produced are great at 2700 dpi, I can’t ask for more. Colors are very accurate as well, they’re just like the original image you’ve captured. The colors you get from scanning are the same ones you’ll see on the printers and monitors which is just amazing. You won’t achieve this with the other scanners even though it’s not the highest resolution you can gain. But that’s not important because you can even sell the images you get from the Nikon LS-2000 slide scanner and get paid for the price of those with the highest resolution.

File sizes are not that huge up to 58 MB. Scanning time is about 20 seconds. This unit is different from the compact types you’ve seen that comes with a slide and film tray. With this model, all you have to do is insert the 35mm film strips or slides into the appropriate opening, scan the images and choose those you’d like to save to your computer.

Plustek Opticfilm 7300

Plustek Opticfilm 7300. Do you still keep some or perhaps a pile of film negatives in the past? Are you a person eager to make copies of those precious images from the negatives you have but are confused which brand of scanner to get what with the numerous models available today?

Let me share then my experience with Plustek Opticfilm 7300. I bought this device upon recommendation of some friends who have been using the same scanner. Some of them are into the printing business and so I trusted their opinion and the truth is, they’re right in saying that this brand of scanner is a reliable one.

This is competitively priced but you’ll be surprised at how a fast worker it is. With its multi-exposure and multi-sampling functions, it can produce quality images even from your old negatives and slides.
From the installation to the operation, the Plustek Opticfilm scanner is easy to use. What’s great about it as well is that it has a slide viewer at the top part of the unit and a negative holder to keep the films in place thereby making your work very convenient. One thing I observed, though, is that the holder needs to be a little bit tighter when the negatives are being scanned.

This scanner also comes with an editing software called SilverFast. This alone is a big plus already because of the wonders it does to the images to produce the best results. No need to be skilled on this because beginners can easily learn the proper ways to edit their images just by following the instructions. Read Customer Reviews -Plustek Opticfilm 7300
