VuPoint Slide Scanner Review
VuPoint Slide Scanner. There are just so many brands of film scanners today it can be quite tedious to look for one that suits your needs. But if you try the VuPoint 35mm slide scanner, you’re in for a great surprise.
This device is a small and compact one you’d think it can’t do wonders. But the truth is it does its job pretty well producing high resolution images.
The VuPoint film scanner has a plastic housing and a tray for the slides. Its CCD technology allows for fast scanning at about five seconds per 5.0 megapixel image. As there’s a tray already included, all you need is to mount properly your negatives then slide the tray inside and start scanning. The tray is very helpful especially if you’re working with curled negatives and slides because it snaps them right into place thereby keeping them aligned as you scan them. And the tray fits perfectly well into the unit with no chance of movement while the negatives are being scanned.
To start the scanning process, just press the button that says Copy. For the techno savvy people, though, another way to scan images is to click on the Snapshot icon through the scanner software driver.
But before you do this step, ensure that you have installed the driver and image editing software into your computer. This VuPoint film scanner can work well together with Windows XP and Vista.
If you’re just after saving those old images captured on film, then this is fine. But if you’re looking to get top quality images, you will be disappointed with this device. VuPoint Slide Scanner Customer Reviews
