What are digital slide scanners?

35mm slide scanner
A digital slide scanner allows you to bring your favorite film negatives and slides to life by transforming them into digital files. Most slide scanners are designed to only read 35mm film. You can easily connect one via a USB port or simply record straight onto a memory card. This means that some models don’t require a PC/Mac.
The software tends to be very user friendly with drag and drop features. It takes seconds to scan each slide and the final photo can reach over 5 mega pixels with 3,600 dpi interpolation (48-bit) resolution which means the highest quality image even some modern digital cameras are unable to achieve.
You can either store your pictures on your hard drive or memory stick, share them via email or print them out using a printer.
